Exodus 35:2
Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
Deuteronomy 5:13

Proverbs 10:4-5
He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain [persons is] void of understanding.
Proverbs 12:11

Ecclesiastes 1:3
And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour. Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all [was] vanity and vexation of spirit, and [there was] no profit under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 2:10-11
Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun [is] grievous unto me: for all [is] vanity and vexation of spirit. Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken under the sun: because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me. And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise [man] or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have shewed myself wise under the sun. This [is] also vanity. Therefore I went about to cause my heart to despair of all the labour which I took under the sun. For there is a man whose labour [is] in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity; yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it [for] his portion. This also [is] vanity and a great evil. For what hath man of all his labour, and of the vexation of his heart, wherein he hath laboured under the sun?

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do [it] with thy might; for [there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
2 Thessalonians 3:10-12
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Church Sign Generator, Religious Image Makers
You can put your own saying (welcome message) on a church sign photograph (a cartoon example above). Now you can generate your own using photos of the real thing with such witty, crowd-drawing sayings as “Stop Drop and Roll Doesn’t Work in Hell.” With the Church Sign Generator you can (obviously) create your own church signs with any slogans you may have ever wanted to see. This site is intended for parody, but please keep the images clean and respectable...
If you’ve always wanted to express yourself by creating pictures of church signs (and I’m sure you have), then help is on the way: The other day I stumbled upon a website that enables you to do just what you’ve been dreaming about all these years. The sign pictured above is my creation; as far as I know, no real church has yet proclaimed the omniscience of “The Monkey Cage.” I’m sure you can do better. To try it out for yourself (and you can select any of four other Christian denominations if you wish—we are ecumenical here, within certain bounds).

Books of the Holy Bible, Jewish Vs. Christian Versions
Books of the Hebrew Scriptures (sacred book/text of Judaism) appear as listed in the translation by the Jewish Publication Society of America. Books of the Christian Bible appear different as listed in the Jerusalem Bible, a 1966 translation of the 1956 French Roman Catholic version. The Old Testament books shown in italic are considered apocryphal in many Christian churches, but they are accepted as canonical in the Roman Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church, and the Armenian and the Ethiopian Oriental Orthodox Church. The Christian Old Testament parallels the Hebrew Scriptures with the exception of these books.
